Bought this item to help build an oak framed screen door for the front of our house, which ended up being a total of 0, in comparison to the models on line at 0 (including delivery. This biscuit joiner worked wonders and with little ease. I’ve never used one, but after experimenting on scrap wood it performed wonderfully and allowed us to build the door of our dreams. Thanks Amazon and DeWalt for such a grrrrrreat product.

I loved this drill and told many people to buy one because it was great. I got it in May 2008 and since then have only used it occasionally. I would drill a couple holes or drive a few screws then it would sit for weeks or months until I had another small job.
Then I decided to build a new front porch. I drove 2 1/2″ deck screws and it started out great. After a few days working a couple hours a day the drill started jumpng out of 1st gear so I had to hold the gear selection button to keep it from jumping out of 1st gear. That wasn’t too bad but by the time I was 3/4 done with my porch 1st gear went out all together. 2nd gear still works but that’s too fast for screw driving and it has lower torque so burrying the screw head is no good. I had to use my regular wired drill to finish the project. I’m now telling everyone to disregard my previous praise of this drill. I’m getting a new one and it won’t be a B&D. Too bad, I loved this drill.

I like this plate jointer. I have about 500 biscuits cut with this now, and I am happy with it. It’s not made like a fine swiss watch by any means, but it does work well for me if I take a little care setting it up, it performs as expected. You have to be a little gentle with setting up the depth “fence”, but it lines right up if you use reasonable care. So far no problems that would change my satisfaction with buying it. I run a lot of makita tools and love them all
